A Timeless Tragedy Reimagined
We bring Shakespeare's most visceral tale of star-crossed passion to the contemporary stage. Through the raw language of dance, the feud between the Capulets and Montagues is stripped of its words, leaving only the heartbreaking intensity of young love caught in a cycle of ancestral violence.
In this performance, movement is the dialogue. Every leap, every touch, and every collision tells the story of Romeo and Juliet with a physical immediacy that transcends time and tradition. Set to an intense, cinematic electronic soundtrack, you'll feel the desperation of a world on the brink and the electric spark of a love that shouldn't exist.
Romeo and Juliet is brought to you by Windsor Dance eXperience, Windsor's only dance theatre company. Since 2003, WDX has staged over 60 productions and has been the artistic outlet for over 400 local dancers. We believe in the power of storytelling through movement, blending theatrical flair with technical dance to create experiences that are accessible, exciting, and uniquely beautiful.
Meet the Cast
Rowan Alice
Romeo
Rowan Alice is a 20-year-old performer from Windsor Ontario, and is proud to be making his first appearance with Windsor Dance eXperience in the role of Romeo. This production marks his first venture into dance performance, and he is delighted to return to the stage of the Capitol Theatre, where he previously performed the lead role of Jack Kelly in Newsies, after pursuing Musical Theatre training in New York City.
Fiona Lewsaw
Juliet
Fiona is a 21-year-old performer who was involved with Windsor Dance eXperience in her youth, where she danced many fun characters to life—most notably Tinkerbell in Neverland and Gerta in The Snow Queen. After taking a seven-year break from the stage, she recently performed in the musical Young Frankenstein at the Bank Theatre, which re-ignited her passion for performing. She now returns to WDX, stepping into the role of Juliet. She is absolutely over the moon and deeply grateful for the opportunity of playing such an iconic character and being back on stage with her WDX family!
Eric Cunningham

Eric Cunningham is a 23 year old karate black belt.

Now in her 9th show with WDX, she is a board member, choreographer, and junior instructor, and is making her directorial debut with the youth production of Strings this June. Madi is currently completing her Bachelor of Education and will be graduating this June, excited to continue her passion for working with youth both in the studio and in the classroom.

Choreographer
Tiffany Chan co-founded Windsor Dance eXperience Inc. in 2003 in hopes of creating an inclusive dance theatre company. Since then she has produced over 70 productions working with dancers between the ages of 6 to adulthood. Additionally, she has worked with Ballet Jorgen, Theatre Alive, Riverfront Theatre Company as well as three different collaborations with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra and two productions with Arts Collective Theatre.
Tiffany believes and has proven that dance doesn’t just provide technique lessons but also life lessons, such as discipline and learning how to work with a team. She recognizes all the dancers as individuals with hopes that they learn to love, embrace and share their unique qualities with the rest of the community.
Becca has been involved in community theatre in Windsor and Essex County for over 20 years. She started dancing at a studio in Kingsville at 6 years old, and fell in love with music even earlier. She has taught at Cassiah's Dance Company in Leamington and has choreographed for Little Tomato Theatre for several years. Recently, she was Director of Newsies by Arts Collective Theatre.
She's currently focused on fun projects that allow her to balance being both a Dance Mom and regular mom at home. Her favourite style of dance is TAP!
Cindy Pattison-Rivard has over 40 years of teaching experience, operating Nancy Pattison's Dance World, a pillar in the Windsor, dance community for over 65 years. She has been trained in all styles of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre and even Hawaiian. She has been a member of the Cecchetti Council of America since 1993 and holds a Teacher's Intermediate Certificate (grade 6) in the Cecchetti Method of ballet.
Cindy has recently choreographed ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ and ‘The Sound of Music’ for Windsor Light Music Theatre. Cindy’s number one passion is dance and sharing that with others.
